This well detailed portrait of a proud banded pigeon is labeled on the back “WEBB-FOOT flown Bordeaua Owner Mr. Dixon.” There is a short British news clip below from 1939 showing Mr. Dixon and his carrier pigeons which were helping with Air Raid Protection Service.
