Hetherington / 42nd Street, N.Y. irregular hexagonal poison bottle. This is a scarce bottle in an extremely rare size (only a couple known examples). KI-2, American, Circa 1885-1910. Medium Green. 6 1/4h, “C.L.G. CO. Patent Applied For” on smooth base with a tooled mouth.
Some interior haze and a tiny match-head sized flake off the bottom of the lip (took us nearly ten years to spot it!) Good luck finding another opportunity to add this bottle to your collection ;)
The last picture is of James A. Hetherington Drugs located at 42nd Street and Vanderbilt Avenue in Manhattan (undated).
